Ensuring Your Comfort
Our dentists and dental team have extensive experience and expertise in performing tooth extractions, consistently achieving outstanding results. Prior to commencing the procedure, we administer a powerful local anesthetic to numb the tooth, ensuring a pain-free experience for you.
In addition, we provide sedation dentistry options such as nitrous oxide and oral sedation, which effectively reduce anxiety and promote a state of calm and relaxation. To further enhance your comfort and create a stress-free environment, we offer soothing amenities like blankets, neck pillows, and TVs in our treatment rooms.
Wisdom Teeth Extraction
Not everyone experiences problems with their wisdom teeth, but for many, there is not enough room in the jaw for them to come in properly. This can result in pain or crowding of the teeth, and in some cases, the wisdom teeth may grow underneath other molars and become impacted or stuck.
The procedure for removing wisdom teeth varies depending on whether they have fully emerged or are impacted. If the tooth is not impacted, removal is usually straightforward. However, if the tooth is impacted in the gum, surgical removal is typically recommended.
Our team will assess your situation and suggest removing your wisdom teeth if it is deemed necessary.
Self-Care Tips for Tooth Extraction
It is important to allow your body sufficient time to heal and recover, therefore it is recommended to take the remainder of the day off after your procedure.
Please apply sterile gauze to the extraction site and bite down on it for approximately one hour or until the bleeding subsides. Afterwards, replace it with a new piece of gauze.
Please refrain from smoking or drinking using a straw as it may disrupt the formation of the protective clot over the extraction site.
Please consider including options such as pudding, cooled soup, broth, and yogurt in your diet for the next few days, as they are all soft foods.
Please brush your teeth as you normally would, but be careful to avoid the area where the tooth was extracted.
