What is the meaning of All-On-4 Implants?

The All-On-4 procedure, also known as "Teeth in a Day," offers patients the opportunity to have their remaining teeth removed, implants placed, and a fully functional smile all in one day! This procedure not only enhances the appearance of patients' smiles but also rejuvenates their outlook on life. Many individuals struggle with severe tooth decay, deteriorating dental work, and broken teeth. For these individuals, the All-On-4, "Teeth in a Day" procedure is the ideal solution to achieve a new smile and address long-standing dental issues.

The most natural-looking and aesthetically pleasing option: It closely resembles the appearance and texture of natural teeth.

Permanent: Remains in the mouth securely, without the need for removal like a denture.

You can start using your dental implants without any lengthy healing periods.

Perfect for individuals with limited bone: Ideal for those who have been advised of inadequate bone for implants.

Enhance your culinary experience with elevated food tasting!

Here's how it works:

This procedure includes removing any remaining teeth, placing 4-6 implants per arch, and attaching a low-profile bridge to those implants. The strategic positioning of the implants avoids the sinuses, eliminating the need for costly bone grafts and lengthy healing periods.

Our doctor has enhanced the traditional All-On-4 procedure by personalizing it based on their expertise and understanding, resulting in a more favorable outcome for the patient. At Pearl Oral Surgery & Dental Implants, we carefully evaluate each case and customize our treatment to the patient's unique anatomy. Your doctor will implant between four and six implants per arch, and temporary fixed bridges will be installed while your implants integrate with your jawbones and your mouth heals.

Once the healing process is finished, the doctor and lab technician will create your final teeth using zirconia, a material that is significantly stronger than the acrylic denture teeth offered at other dental practices. Zirconia also provides a more natural and lifelike appearance, is more hygienic, and is resistant to staining. Consequently, these teeth will have a longer lifespan and a superior aesthetic compared to the acrylic/titanium hybrid bridges commonly found elsewhere.

Am I a Candidate?

Many patients, including those who have been informed of insufficient bone for dental implants, can still undergo this procedure. In order to bypass the sinuses and utilize the strongest bone available, a combination of straight and angled implants will be employed by your doctor. This approach typically eliminates the necessity for costly and time-consuming sinus augmentation bone grafts. Your doctor will evaluate during your complimentary consultation whether All-On-4, also known as "Teeth in a Day," is suitable for you.

The timeline for the All-On-4 procedure is as follows:

The process can take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours, depending on whether we are treating both the upper and lower arches. Once the process is finished, temporary bridges will be securely attached to the new implants. These temporary bridges will need to be worn for 4 months to allow for proper integration with the bone and healing of the jaws and gums. This healing period is important to ensure the final bridges fit perfectly. Once the healing is complete, we will begin creating the final bridges. The design of your desired smile for permanent teeth will be done through a series of appointments spread out over 5 to 6 weeks.

Mouth Impressions:

The lab uses these materials to make your temporary implant bridge(s). If you have many missing teeth in the area being treated, the doctor may suggest a wax try-in. This involves making a wax model of your temporary implant bridge to check the bite, appearance, and other factors.
